Member Benefits
We strive to serve the independent insurance agents and brokers of the Rio Grande Valley. Membership helps you enhance your digital presence, align with a recognized brand, increase your reach, and connect with the right people.
Continuing Education Classes
Our training programs, webinars, and Continued Education classes are conducted or sponsored by Associate Members with extensive expertise. These are free to members, while non-members can attend for a fee.

Small Business Speakers
In order to understand the needs of the local industry, we regularly host a series of local speakers. During these sessions, we cover the impact of our work on the local economy and insurance market.
Legislative Advocacy
In addition to understanding local needs, we also drive legislative changes that benefit the industry. We guide member participation in IIAT’s “Big I” Legislative Day at the Capitol and our members regularly testify in the Texas Senate and House.

Networking Events
You made the choice to be an independent agent, but that doesn’t mean you operate on your own. Our network events and forums help you connect with other agencies, carriers, and even potential colleagues. While we host many events, our Annual Insurance Day is a highlight every year.
Local Scholarships
We are passionate about further education without the debt. This is why we award various scholarships to those in our local community. To date, we have awarded $33,000 (TBC) in scholarships and remain dedicated to continued educational support.

Community Service Projects
At the IIARGV, we firmly believe that we rise by lifting others. If our community thrives, so do we. We always seek out opportunities to empower the local community and economy. In order to have a greater reach, we have partnered with Easter Seals RGV and Make-A-Wish RGV.
Invest Program
InVEST is a school-to-work insurance program that teams with high school and college educators to provide a useful insurance curriculum for students. The program is free for schools and includes lesson plans, textbooks, activities, and more.
